The selected candidate will be able to create retail planograms that will be executed at the store level using JDA space planning software. Additional duties will include administrative and sales support for the business analysts. Some responsibilities are routine and recurring, with other responsibilities assumed on a project-level basis. Recurring responsibilities should be completed proactively with minimal supervision. Competent computer skills, excellent communication skills and an attention to detail are a must. Certification with JDA space planning software and experience with big box retailers is a plus.
This individual will possess a minimum of five years administrative experience as well as exceptional computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and JDA. Organizing and analyzing drawings prior to setup and discusses project complexity and time estimates with technical and supervisory personnel.
Performing assignments requiring expertise in computer-aided drafting using MicroStation CAD Software, including 3D.
Executing sub-system user file management within CAD systems, such as plotting, printing, storage and retrieving and returning drawings from ProjectWise.
Completing special projects, for example various installation diagrams, structure modifications, design drawings, standard hardware details and others as required.
Assisting with various administrative duties, including engineering record maintenance, comprising of keeping switching files updated, obtaining new drawing numbers, inputting drawing information into the organization's CAD database at the various stages of the process, and completing necessary forms to submit final drawings to central records.
Checking all CAD, manually drafted drawings and other documents for drafting accuracy and completeness; making necessary corrections before review by Engineers and Technicians.
Creating designs from Engineers' idea notes and rough sketches through use of electronic files, drawing stick files, and central records vault.
Maintaining a thorough familiarity with industry and company standards.
May serve in a CAD Lead capacity; tracking workload and making work assignments.
May provide back-up support to a CAD Lead, including attending meetings and participating in various teams when the Lead is unable to attend.
May be assigned to maintain CAD templates, including the template database and associated SharePoint site.
Assisting in the development of drafting processes and standards, coordinating within and external to the group.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES
The design consultant works closely with the customer in the design center/studio and at the customer’s home with a team to create individualized design solutions to sell Ethan Allen products and services. The designs include space planning, fabric coordination, product selection and overall project design. Successful execution is evidenced by developing individualized designs and achieving team sales goals in a relationship based selling environment representing Ethan Allen products and services.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Create design solutions that are consistent with the customer’s preference and budget.
Sell Ethan Allen’s products and services.
Customarily and regularly (typically on a weekly basis) make home calls to evaluate the customer’s needs and provide a total individualized design solution that closes the sale.
Professionally greet customers to establish rapport and obtain appointments and in-home consultations.
Educate customers about the complimentary design service Ethan Allen provides,
offering as little or as much design service as a customer desires.
Stay current on design and color trends to create fashionable design solutions.
Coordinate with the team to provide exceptional service to customers, before and after the sale, by promptly keeping customers informed of their order status including any delays.
Participate as required in all corporate sponsored marketing and training programs.
Educate customers on all the Ethan Allen sponsored finance options available to them.
Contribute towards the development and on-going upkeep of the team’s design portfolio.
Utilize corporate systems and technology to maximize efficiency in designing projects, creating presentations and providing professional service for the design team’s customers.
Enter orders utilizing the retail point of sale system.
Work cooperatively in maintaining a neat and orderly Design Center projection.
Perform any other duties as required
